A Canadian cohort of younger leaders and mentors, including Canadians serving internationally, is preparing for the Fourth Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG 4). The gathering in Brazil launches the Younger Leaders Generation (YLGen), a ten-year journey of formation, mentoring, collaboration, and mission.

One Gathering. Ten Years of Relationships and Shared Mission.

Canada’s YLG 4 cohort was selected through Lausanne’s global nomination and application process. Participants are already serving through local churches, ministries, mission agencies, campuses, workplaces, and communities across Canada and internationally. They are preparing for YLG 4 with hopes for spiritual renewal, deeper relationships with peers and mentors, and a wider understanding of global mission.

YLG 4 is the gathering. YLGen is the ten-year journey. Before Brazil, participants are building relationships through friendship circles and shared preparation.

Afterward, the Canadian cohort will continue through mentoring, collaboration, prayer, storytelling, and local and regional connection.

That Canadian work will be shaped and led by a committee of younger leaders, with mentors alongside them. Lausanne Movement Canada provides the charitable, administrative, and relational support for this participant-led work.

Give through an individual fundraiser or the shared campaign. Suggested goals are up to CA$2,500 for on-site participants and CA$500 for virtual participants. Gifts may support documented and approved registration and reasonable travel costs. Funds beyond approved costs remain available for other eligible Canadian younger-leader needs and, as funds allow, global scholarships.

    • It will gather younger Christian leaders from around the world for biblical formation, global relationships, mentoring, and long-term mission engagement.

    • Participant support helps leaders get to YLG 4. The Canadian YLGen Pathway helps make sure they are prepared before they go and supported after they return.

    • It funds the communication, mentoring, storytelling, commissioning, and follow-through needed so YLG 4 becomes a launch point rather than an endpoint.

    • Yes. The Canadian Zeffy campaign includes fundraising pages for registered on-site and virtual participants and mentors. Gifts associated with a participant page may be considered toward that participant’s documented and approved YLG 4 registration and reasonable travel costs.

    • Participants may also fundraise for the wider Canadian Younger Leaders Project. Funds beyond approved costs may assist other Canadian participants and, as funds allow, global scholarships.

    • Because Lausanne Movement Canada is a registered charity, all gifts remain under its control and administration and are not owned by or guaranteed to an individual.

    • Yes. Churches, ministries, mission agencies, businesses, foundations, families, and individual donors can support the Canadian Younger Leaders Project.

    • It provides a shared giving pathway so many parts of the Church in Canada can invest in this cohort together.

    • The Canadian Younger Leaders Project is administered by Lausanne Movement Canada through its Mission Education Fund.

    • Donor preferences are recorded, while Lausanne Movement Canada retains full direction and control of donated funds in keeping with Canadian charitable requirements.

    • Eligible donations receive Canadian charitable tax receipts.
